Belly dance is the speciality, covering the isolations, hip work and flowing movements that define the style, taught with real care for correct technique. A typical class warms up, drills specific moves, then links them into sequences set to music. While the focus is belly dance, the wider local search for dance classes in Enfield, dance lessons in Enfield and adult dance classes in Enfield shows how many people want exactly this sort of welcoming, adult-friendly class. Beginners' courses make it easy to start from scratch.
A newcomer can expect an attentive, encouraging teacher and no pressure to already know the moves. Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in, ideally something that lets you see your hip movements, and dance barefoot or in soft shoes, and bring water. The first class is about learning the basic isolations and settling in.
Classes run from a school in Enfield, convenient for those living across the borough. Local transport and parking make an evening session easy to reach.
I cannot recommend this class enough! It is so much fun. I joined the 5 week beginners course that started end of April. It's often nervewracking starting a new class, but I am so glad that I did. Yazmin is really attentive and observant of all the bellydance students in the class and really helps everyone to master the moves in a respectful and understanding way. It's a wonderful class with a really easy-going, non-judgemental vibe. The lessons are paced well and it really works your muscles without even realising, whilst learning a beautiful form of dance. Looking forward to joining classes — Athina A
