Classes & Dance Styles

The studio teaches International Latin, American Rhythm and ballroom styles, supporting students all the way to graded medal tests at advanced levels. What Dancers Say About Duet Dance Studio

5/5 from 15 Google reviews.

I cannot recommend this dance studio enough, my son Luciano has been attending lessons for just less than a year and he has improved so much in this time. My son has learnt more in this time than when he attended another dance studio for over 2 years.

I’m very happy that we found Valeria and Kirill. They are professional, patient and you can see they are passionate about teaching dance to the younger generation. My son is happy and enthusiastic about attending his lessons every week, which just shows how much of a positive affect that Valeria’s and Kirill’s teaching methods have on their stud— Roberto Stoto

I have danced with Valeriia since 2013 and could not recommend her highly enough. I dance International Latin and American Rhythm styles. Valeriia's dedication, patience and good humour over the years has paid off as I’ve advanced to ISTD medal tests at Gold Star level (with Honours!) and have danced at many ProAm competitions around the globe. These include the Blackpool ProAm Dance Festival, New York Dance Festival, Killick Klassik (Miami), Killick Royale (London), Embassy Ballroom Championships (Los Angeles), Empire Dance Championships (NYC), London Ball, London Gala Ball, Britannia Open— michaelpagesw23jh

Absolutely brilliant dancers and teachers! My son just started taking lessons and I’m very happy that Valeria and Kiril are his first teachers as he felt the teachers positivity and professional approach straight away, which helped him to enjoy dancing from the start. He had only a few lessons and already can dance 5 different dances, he learns very quickly with such professional and attentive teachers. Valeria and Kiril have true teachers’ talent and can transfer their love for dance onto children so smoothly that it seems effortless. The lessons are always energetic, full of fun and one hou— Lana Khatagova

I did the Thursday morning solo ladies dance class with Valeria followed by a one to one with Kirill and both were excellent teachers and lovely people. I think the class would suit people of all abilities and if you want to explore the dances further one ones are a great addition. Both teachers were clear and calm in their instructions and added steps slowly so before you knew it you had a routine and by the end I felt like I was dancing. Really recommend this dance studio.— amanda kent

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa's basic step comes quickly to most beginners, usually within a lesson or two. Building turns and timing takes longer, but regular practice makes it achievable.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes, salsa classes are made for people with no dance experience. Consistency counts for far more than any natural sense of rhythm.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, adults can take up ballet through dedicated beginner classes, though this studio specialises in ballroom and Latin. Ballet rewards patience and is excellent for posture and flexibility.

What age is too late to start ballet?

No age is too late to start ballet for pleasure and fitness. Only a professional path really depends on beginning young.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Five staples are the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle. These few moves recur throughout beginner routines.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Short dances built on one repeating sequence are the easiest to learn first. Ask a line-dance class which starter routines they teach.
