The studio is centrally located in London and easy to reach on public transport, which regulars mention as a real plus. It suits people fitting classes around work or an evening in town.
What a wonderful dance studio. Everyone who works at Step By Me creates such an inclusive and inviting atmosphere – it was a joy to keep coming back.
We were taught by Nassy and Peter and both were legends. They were patient, funny and driven to help us get the most we could out of our lessons. We were both so impressed with how much we learned from our lessons and have so much more confidence to dance together publicly. The best thing is when they show you the moves by pairing together with you and you partner because then you really see how talented they are!

I was looking for ballroom and latin classes in a convenient location and stumbled across this studio on Instagram, so I thought I would sign up for the taster, and it was one of the best snap decisions I ever made.
From the second I stepped in all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and I was impressed by the super clean and glamorous space (I've danced in some grotty places!). It's a really convenient location in between Victoria and Westminster.
After the taster I was very easily convinced to sign up, because they offered structure of learning that I was looking for. I had been d— Ast rid

Salsa starts out easy, with the basic step landing quickly, and grows richer as you add timing and turns. Regular classes and a bit of social practice are what build fluency.
Yes, complete beginners learn salsa readily, and classes here are used to starting people from nothing. No prior experience is needed.
Yes, adults take up ballet at any age for posture, strength and enjoyment. This studio focuses on ballroom and Latin, so for ballet a dedicated class would suit better.
There is no upper age limit for recreational ballet, which adults enjoy across the decades. Beginning later simply means dancing for pleasure and wellbeing.
Common foundations are the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle. Line dances repeat and combine them into routines.
Short, looping dances built on grapevines and step-touches are the gentlest to begin. Classic beginner routines of that style build confidence fast.
