Families mention brilliant opportunities, from performing at Disneyland to regular competitions, all within a supportive centre. It suits dedicated young dancers as well as beginners keen to try different styles.
The centre offers a broad choice of dance styles, from ballet through to commercial, giving children the chance to sample several or focus on a favourite. Classes build technique step by step, and a typical session covers a warm up, working on steps and shaping them into routines for exams or the stage. Alongside weekly lessons there are accredited exams, freestyle competitions and an annual show in which every dancer of every age is included. This range lets pupils progress a long way as their skills grow.
A child joining for the first time can expect a warm welcome and a class matched to their age and ability. Dress them in comfortable clothes they can move in, with the footwear for their style or soft flat shoes to start. The teachers are used to settling new dancers in gently.

My daughter has danced here for over 12 years. She is currently working towards Grade 8 Ballet. Rhythmics gives children the opportunity to try a variety of dance styles from ballet to commercial. Having also taken part in shows with Rhythmics has helped build her confidence enormously. The dance school offers a friendly warm environment where children thrive. I can also highly recommend it as a venue for Birthday Parties.— Andrea Bysh

Yes. The styles taught here, from ballet to commercial, are danced solo or in a group, so a partner is never required.
Comfortable clothing that moves with you is the main requirement, along with the right shoes for the style. For a first class, soft flat shoes are perfectly fine until you know what each style needs.
Prices depend on the style and the number of classes taken each week. It is best to contact the centre directly for current fees, particularly if your child attends several styles.
Ballet is a popular starting point for its strong grounding in technique, while tap and commercial styles are fun and lively first choices. The centre can recommend a class based on your child's age and what appeals to them.
The centre's programme is geared towards children, so an adult would want a school running adult classes. Generally speaking, adults often enjoy beginning with ballet, tap or a sociable partner dance.
Light dancing can be a pleasant, gentle form of exercise, but anyone with a heart condition should check with their doctor first. Activity can then be kept comfortable and safe.
