IslandDance Wizards

Description Seen it on 'Strictly'? Now come and learn one or more of our social dance styles, with our friendly, fun lessons.

ARGENTINE TANGO; The most exciting and dramatic of the social dances can now be learnt at classes taught by Island couple Amanda and Basil in Newport and Sandown. Learn the basic steps quickly and easily, then move up to more playful footwork and stylish moves in the Intermediate lesson.

Classes in Newport on Wednesdays Doors open at 7.45pm

SMOOTH MODERN JIVE; a slower version of Rock and Roll style that can be danced to both contemporary and vintage tracks. Easy to learn and fun to dance.

Classes in RYDE on Tuesdays. Doors open at 7.45pm

Salsa; A fun, latin, party dance ...classes starting in Newport (as above) on THURSDAYS from the 16th August. Doors open at 7.45pm

No previous dance experience required. You can start any week and you REALLY don't need to bring a partner.

We have a free-style dance covering several dance styles running on the second Saturday each month, see events, or call for details.

Private lessons including 'FIRST DANCE' choreography in Argentine Tango, Smooth Modern Jive and Salsa are also available.

We love visitors so please come and join our classes if you are over here for a holiday, we can also offer private lessons to individuals or couples during your stay!
